Recent work on Deep Shift has focused on turning its repair architecture into systems that can be tested repeatedly. A dedicated repair-tool map now contains straight and curved welding and cutting paths, a manual ratchet pickup, three pipe-replacement stations with eight individual fasteners each, and five cleaning targets.
The manual ratchet now distinguishes between a working stroke and a return stroke instead of behaving like a slower impact wrench. Interaction-state ownership was also corrected so physical repair points can release camera and movement locks reliably when work is finished.
The test map passed its structural validation and Map Check with zero errors and zero warnings, and the latest editor build succeeded. Hands-on PIE testing of feel, visibility, effects and complete repair chains remains the next step; Deep Shift is being developed as a physical maintenance simulation, not as a horror game.
